Psalm 16:11 (NIV) says... “You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.”
This verse reminds us that the joy we’re looking for isn’t out there somewhere—it’s already within us, revealed to us when we’re in His presence. When we stay connected to God and trust Him to guide and lead us, we step into the fullness of joy He promised in His Word.
And trusting Him doesn’t mean abandoning your dreams either; it means believing and knowing that the desires He’s placed in our hearts are part of His plan. And His plan for us is much more than we know... Jeremiah 29:11. Don’t you know that the path for our life has already been set? We just need to walk it out, by faith! That’s where bliss begins. That’s where true joy lives. And this joy isn’t a temporary feeling or dependent on what’s going right in our lives. It’s a supernatural strength. As Nehemiah 8:10 reminds us, ‘His joy is our strength’. When we stay anchored in His joy, it encourages us, revitalizes us, keeps us focused, and propels us forward— even through the tough seasons in our lives.
Jesus gave us countless examples of how to live here on earth—not by doing everything for us, but by showing us the way. His purpose was never to do for us what we are fully capable of doing ourselves. He never said, “I will do for you what I've already given you the power to do.” Nope, He left us a divine blueprint, a model of faith, love, and action that He expected us to follow.
It’s easy to get caught up in the awe of His miracles, to marvel at His power, and to stay in a state of admiration. Yes, these things are all good, and while we will always reverence Him—because He is Lord—He never intended for us to be mere spectators, as many did in His day. But His disciples understood the assignment, and He expects us to do the same. He calls us to move beyond admiration into participation, stepping into the authority and purpose He has given us.
Jesus walked in love. He healed those who were broken, stood up for the oppressed, and lived with unwavering faith. But He also told us in:
John 14:12 (NIV)...“Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these”.
This wasn’t just a passing statement; it was a call to action, an exhortation. He invites us to partner our lives with Him—taking responsibility for our choices, walking boldly in faith, and being active vessels of His love in the world.
So, let’s get beyond watching and start doing. Stop waiting for divine intervention when God has already given us the tools, wisdom, and strength to act. Whether in our personal lives, our communities, or walking in our purpose, we are called to be participants, not bystanders. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in us (Romans 8:11), empowering us to bring healing, transformation, and His love wherever we go.
It’s time to step into our divine assignment—not just believing in the miracles of Jesus but living in the reality that we were created to do great things, too!
